Before · intentional review gaps

Two things an automated scan may miss

This page is deliberately written for comparison. Its SVG has a programmatic text alternative that contradicts the diagram; its form changes visible feedback without exposing a programmatic status.

Manual review 01

A valid name with the wrong route

The SVG points east from Oak Library to West Clinic and visibly shows weekday hours. Its title and description say the reverse route runs on weekends and leave out the hours.

Weekend shuttle route from West Clinic to Oak Library. The service hours are unavailable in this view. Oak Library West Clinic WEEKDAYS · 8:00–10:00 A.M. Every 30 minutes · eastbound →
The map itself contains the route and schedule labels.

Review cue: compare the direction and service days in the spoken name above with the arrow and schedule shown in the map.

Manual review 02

Visible feedback without a status

Try an empty value, an invalid address, or a sample address. The message changes on screen, but the error is not associated with the field and no live status announces the update.

Local sample update preview

Use an example such as reader@example.test. The address stays in this page.

Known barriers are intentional here. Do not reuse this page as a template. axe-core checks markup rules; it does not determine whether an alternative matches its visual or whether an interaction was announced.

Run the local axe-core scan

The scan covers the page’s main content and excludes this scanner and its report. Header navigation and footer are outside scope. It runs WCAG 2.0 A/AA, WCAG 2.1 A/AA, and WCAG 2.2 AA axe tags.

Ready. No scan has run yet.

The JSON contains the axe-core version, selected tags, scope, violations, passes, incomplete checks, and inapplicable checks. A scan error is shown as an error, not as an empty result.
